The Executive Secretary of the National Assembly Library, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, received at his office, Dr. Umar Alkali, Secretary of the Health Services Directorate, and Dr. Yero Suleiman, Director of Medical Services, of the National Assembly.
The visit served as a vital touchpoint for key administrative figures within the National Assembly bureaucracy to reflect on their institutional roles and explore collaborative ways to enhance service delivery.

The Power of Teamwork in Public Service
The discussions between Rt. Hon. Nwawuba and the medical directors centered on the importance of internal cohesion within large public bodies. Having served on the legislative floor and now directing a major knowledge repository, the Executive Secretary emphasized that institutional transformation is never achieved in departmental silos.
He noted that every organ within the parliamentary complex—whether catering to health, research, documentation, or administrative support—contributes directly to the overall effectiveness and dignity of the legislature.
“These interactions strengthen collaboration, mutual understanding, and effective teamwork toward our shared goals. When leadership across different directorates connects with a shared purpose, we build stronger institutions that truly serve the public good.”
